Walk
Start at the Ascona waterfront (Lungolago), where you can enjoy the beautiful lake views. Head north along the promenade towards the boat dock. Once you reach the boat dock, look for the ferry service that operates to Bellagio. Board the ferry to Bellagio, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bellagio, disembark and turn right onto Via Lungo Lario Manzoni. Continue walking along this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance to I Giardini di Villa Melzi.
Public Transport
From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the main square (Piazza Giuseppe Motta). Catch the bus to Menaggio, which goes frequently. The trip will take around 20-30 minutes. Upon arriving in Menaggio, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Bellagio. Once in Bellagio, turn right on Via Lungo Lario Manzoni and walk for about 10 minutes to reach I Giardini di Villa Melzi.
