If you are in the central area of Ascona, head towards the lakeside promenade. Start by walking south along Via Borgo towards the lake. Once you reach the lakefront, continue walking east along the promenade (Lungolago). As you walk, enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the junction with Via Nassa. Turn left onto Via Nassa and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via San Giovanni. Piazza Alcide de Gasperi is straight ahead, where you can see the vibrant atmosphere filled with cafes and shops.

Public Transport
From Ascona, you can take the bus from the Ascona Posta bus stop. Board the bus towards Locarno and get off at the Locarno Station. From there, transfer to the bus heading towards Como. Once you arrive at Como, disembark at the designated stop and ask locals for directions to Piazza Alcide de Gasperi. It's a short walk from the bus stop, and you can follow the signs to reach the square.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Ascona. Start by cycling along the lakeside promenade (Lungolago) eastwards. Continue cycling for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Via Nassa. Turn left and continue on Via Nassa until you arrive at Piazza Alcide de Gasperi. The ride is scenic and enjoyable, with plenty of spots to stop and take photos.
