From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Ascona, Posta'. Board the bus line 31 towards 'Lugano, Stazione'. After about 30 minutes, get off at 'Ossuccio, Piazza Cardinal Durini'. From there, you will be just a short walk to Villa Balbiano.
