Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Basel SBB train station, exit the station and head south towards the city center. Cross the main road (Grosser Basler Ring) and continue straight onto Centralbahnstrasse. Follow this street until you reach Barfüsserplatz, which will take about 15 minutes. From Barfüsserplatz, take a left onto Münsterhügel. Follow this road until you reach the large square in front of Basler Münster.

  • Tram

    From the Basel SBB train station, take tram line 8 towards 'Riehen' or tram line 10 towards 'Dornach'. Get off at the 'Marktplatz' stop. After exiting the tram, walk straight ahead towards the Rathaus (Town Hall) and then take the street to the left (Münsterhügel). Continue walking up this road until you reach Basler Münster, which is situated on your right.

  • Walking from the Old Town
