Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), head down Kramgasse Street, which is just a short walk away. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Marktgasse. Turn right onto Marktgasse. Käfigturm will be on your left at number 67. The entire walk should take approximately 10 minutes.

    If you are at the Bern main train station (Bern HB), you can take tram line 9 towards 'Gümligen' or line 7 towards 'Gümligen' and get off at the 'Zytglogge' stop. From there, follow the directions provided for walking from Zytglogge to Käfigturm. The tram ride takes about 5 minutes, and a single ticket costs around CHF 4.40.

    From the Bundesplatz (Federal Square), walk down the steps towards the Aare River. Cross the bridge and head straight until you reach the main street. Turn left onto Kramgasse and follow the same route to Käfigturm as described above. This walk will take about 15-20 minutes.
