Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Bern Main Train Station (Bern HB), exit the station and head towards the main street, Bahnhofstrasse. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Zytglogge, the famous clock tower in the Old Town. From there, head down Kramgasse, which is the street directly in front of you. Continue walking down Kramgasse for several blocks, passing by shops and cafes on both sides. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the Bundesplatz, where the Federal Palace (Bundeshaus) is located. Keep walking straight, and you will find the Hotel de Ville on your left at Pl. de l'Hôtel de Ville 3.

    From the Bern Main Train Station (Bern HB), take tram number 9 towards Gümligen. Get off at the stop called 'Zytglogge'. From the tram stop, walk towards Kramgasse and continue down this street. After about a 15-minute walk, you will arrive at Bundesplatz. Continue walking straight, and you will see Hotel de Ville on your left at Pl. de l'Hôtel de Ville 3.
