From Bern main station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), take a train towards Montreux or Palézieux. The journey to Gruyères takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Alight at the Gruyères station. From the station, it is a 30-minute walk to the HR Giger Museum. Follow the signs towards Gruyères village, and make your way uphill towards Rue du Château.
Bus
At Bern main station, take the bus number 19 towards Gümmenen. Get off at the 'Zentrum Paul Klee' stop. From there, transfer to bus number 10 towards Wankdorf and get off at 'Wankdorf Bahnhof'. Then, catch a train heading to Gruyères. Once you arrive at the Gruyères station, it's about a 30-minute walk to the HR Giger Museum. Follow the signs to the village and head uphill to Rue du Château.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Bern. Take the route via the Aare river, heading towards the direction of Thun. Follow the signs for the cycling path towards Gruyères. The ride is around 30 km and will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Once in Gruyères, park your bike and walk uphill to Rue du Château where the museum is located.
