Train
From Bern main train station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), take a train towards Interlaken. Trains to Interlaken typically leave every 30 minutes. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Ensure you board a train heading to Interlaken West or Interlaken Ost. Once you arrive at Interlaken, follow the signs to the exit.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, first head to the Bern Zytglogge (Clock Tower) in the city center. From there, walk to the nearby bus stop at 'Bern, Zytglogge.' Take bus number 10 towards the 'Bern, Wabern, Hofstetten' station. At the Wabern station, transfer to the direct bus service to Interlaken. The bus ride will take around 2 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest departures.
Walking
While walking from Bern to Interlaken is not practical due to the distance (approximately 56 km), you can take a scenic walk to a nearby viewpoint or park and then use public transport. A recommended walking area is the Rosengarten, offering a beautiful view of Bern before you head to the train station.
