From Bern's main train station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), purchase a ticket to Neuchâtel. Trains to Neuchâtel run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Neuchâtel train station, exit the station and follow the signs to the lake, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.

You can also take a bus from Bern to Neuchâtel. Take bus number 10 from Bern to Wabern, then transfer to bus number 11 towards Neuchâtel. The total travel time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Neuchâtel bus station, walk towards the lake which is about 10 minutes away.

If you prefer to walk from Neuchâtel train station to Lake Neuchâtel, upon exiting the station, head southeast on Avenue de la Gare towards Rue de l'Industrie. Continue straight onto Rue du Seyon, which will lead you to the lakeshore. The walk takes about 15 minutes.
