If you're traveling by car from Neuchâtel, start by heading southeast on Avenue du 1er Mars toward Rue des Côtes. Continue straight onto Route de La Cote and follow the signs for the A5 motorway. Merge onto A5 and take exit 12 toward Boudry. Continue on the road until you reach Chem. des Clées 9, Boudry, where the Gorges de l'Areuse is located. There is parking available near the entrance, and parking fees may apply.
Train
For those using public transportation, start at Neuchâtel train station. Take a train towards Boudry (Trains run frequently, check the SBB website for the most current schedules). The journey usually takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Boudry station, exit the station and head towards Chem. des Clées, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs for Gorges de l'Areuse, and you'll find the entrance.
Bus
Another public transportation option is to take a bus from Neuchâtel. You can catch the bus at the Neuchâtel bus station, which is adjacent to the train station. Look for the bus heading towards Boudry. The bus ride takes approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Boudry, gare' and walk towards Chem. des Clées for about 15 minutes to reach Gorges de l'Areuse.
