Getting There

  • Tram

    From the Bern main train station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 9 towards 'Gümligen'. Ride for 6 stops and get off at 'Zytglogge' stop. From here, walk straight towards the iconic Zytglogge clock tower. Continue walking down Kramgasse until you reach the Münsterplattform. Here, take a scenic view of the Aare river and the mountains. From there, head towards the bus stop 'Bern, Zytglogge' and take bus line 11 towards 'Wabern, Rüti'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'Interlaken, Bahnhof'. From the Interlaken train station, follow the signs to the Interlaken Castle which is about a 15-minute walk, following the signs uphill to Schloss 1.

    From Bern main train station, purchase a ticket to Interlaken Ost station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Interlaken Ost, exit the station and head towards the main road. Turn left and walk along the road until you reach the intersection. Cross over to the other side of the road and follow the signs to Interlaken Castle. It is a short walk of about 10 minutes.

    From the Bern main train station, take bus number 10 towards 'Wabern, Rüti'. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at 'Interlaken, Bahnhof' stop. After disembarking, follow the signs to Interlaken Castle which is a 15-minute walk straight ahead. Follow the pathway that leads you uphill toward the castle.
