Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from anywhere in the Bernese Oberland, take the A8 motorway towards Interlaken. Exit at 'Interlaken West' or 'Interlaken Ost' depending on your starting point. Once in Interlaken, follow signs for the city center. Marktplatz is located on Marktgasse 8, near the main shopping area.   For those traveling by public transport, take a train to Interlaken. The main stations are Interlaken Ost and Interlaken West. If you arrive at Interlaken Ost, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Take Bus 21 or Bus 103, both of which stop at 'Interlaken, Zentrum', which is a short walk to Marktplatz. If you arrive at Interlaken West, it's about a 15-minute walk to Marktplatz, where you can follow the signs towards the city center.

  If you are already in a nearby village or town, you may find local buses that connect to Interlaken. Check the local bus schedules for routes that head to 'Interlaken, Zentrum'. Once you arrive at the bus stop, Marktplatz is just a short walk away. Note that local bus fares may vary, typically around CHF 3-5 for a single journey.

• Walk

  If you are staying within walking distance in Interlaken, Marktplatz is easily accessible on foot. Follow the signs towards the city center, and you will find yourself on Marktgasse, where Marktplatz is located at number 8. The walk from Interlaken Ost station takes about 20 minutes, while from Interlaken West it takes around 15 minutes.
