Train

To reach the Wengernalpbahn in Lauterbrunnen from Thun, start at Thun Train Station (Bahnhof Thun). Purchase a ticket to Lauterbrunnen. Trains run regularly, typically every 30 minutes. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride that will take approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive at Lauterbrunnen Station, exit the train and follow the signs towards the Wengernalpbahn, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. You will head towards the main village area, passing by the stunning waterfalls along the way. The Wengernalpbahn station will be on your right.

Bus

From Thun, you can also take a bus to Lauterbrunnen. Start at Thun Bahnhof and look for Bus Line 21. This line will take you to Lauterbrunnen, with a journey time of about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lauterbrunnen bus station, follow the signs to the Wengernalpbahn. It’s a short 10-minute walk towards the valley, and you will find the station on your right.

Walking from Lauterbrunnen Station

If you find yourself in Lauterbrunnen and want to walk to the Wengernalpbahn, start at Lauterbrunnen Train Station. Exit the station and walk straight towards the village center. You will see the iconic waterfalls on your left. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, passing some shops and restaurants. Look for the signs directing you to Wengernalpbahn, and you will find the entrance on your right side.
