Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Lucerne. Take the A2 motorway towards Gotthard/Altdorf. Continue on the A2 for approximately 35 km until you reach the exit for A4 towards Glarus. Merge onto A4 and follow signs for Glarus/Gadmen. After about 20 km, take the exit towards Gadmen. Follow the local road signs to Tierbergli, where Steinwasserfall is located. There is parking available near the waterfall, but be prepared for a short walk to the viewing area.
Public Transportation
To reach Steinwasserfall using public transportation, begin your journey at Lucerne train station. Take a train to Meiringen (approximately 1 hour). From Meiringen, transfer to PostBus line 16 towards Gadmen. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Tierbergli stop. From there, follow the marked walking path to Steinwasserfall, which is about a 10-15 minute walk. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance for return times, as services may be limited in the evening.
