Car
If you are driving from St. Moritz, head east on Via Serlas towards Via dal Bagn. Continue straight onto Via San Gian, and then take the first exit at the roundabout onto Via Maistra. Follow this road as it turns into Via Piz, then continue onto Via Pontresina. After about 6 kilometers, you will arrive at the Morteratsch Glacier parking area. Look for the signs indicating the glacier as you approach.
Public Transportation
To reach Morteratsch Glacier using public transport from St. Moritz, take the PostBus from St. Moritz Bahnhof to Pontresina. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Pontresina, transfer to the local PostBus heading towards Morteratsch. This bus will take you directly to the Morteratsch Glacier stop. From there, follow the clearly marked paths to the glacier.
Walking
If you are staying in Pontresina, you can walk to Morteratsch Glacier. Start at the center of Pontresina and head towards Via Maistra. Follow the signs towards Morteratsch Glacier, and you will find a scenic walking path. The hike is approximately 6 kilometers and should take about 1.5 to 2 hours, offering stunning views along the way.
