    If you are driving from Engelberg, head south on the main road (Route 2) towards the town of Lucerne. After about 30 minutes, take the exit for Route 8 towards Interlaken. Continue on Route 8 for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach Grindelwald. Once in Grindelwald, follow the signs towards the First cable car station. Park in one of the designated parking areas near the cable car station. From there, take the First cable car up to the First mountain station. After disembarking, follow the well-marked hiking trail towards Bachalpsee, which is about a 1-hour walk from the station.

    To reach Bachalpsee via public transportation, start from Engelberg train station. Take the train to Interlaken Ost. This journey will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Interlaken Ost, transfer to a train heading to Grindelwald, which takes approximately 30 minutes. After reaching Grindelwald, exit the train station and walk towards the First cable car station, which is about a 15-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for the First cable car and ride it up to the First mountain station. From there, follow the marked hiking path to Bachalpsee, a scenic walk of about 1 hour.
