From Engelberg, take the main road (Route 2) towards Lucerne. Follow the signs for Lucerne for about 35 kilometers. Once you approach Lucerne, follow the signs for the city center (Zentrum). As you enter the city, keep an eye out for the Reuss river. You can park at nearby parking facilities such as the Parking Altstadt or Parking Bahnhof. From there, walk along the river until you reach Reusssteg, where the Lucerne Needle Dam is located.

Once you arrive at Lucerne station, exit the station and walk towards the lake. Follow the signs to the promenade along the lake, heading towards the Reuss river.
