If you are driving, begin your journey on the A2 motorway. Take the exit for Engelberg (Exit 36) and follow the signs towards Engelberg. Once you arrive in Engelberg, head to Poststrasse 3, where the Titlis Glacier Cave is located. There are parking facilities available in Engelberg, but be aware that parking may incur a fee. After parking, it’s a short walk to the Titlis cable car station.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to travel by public transport, you can take a train to Engelberg. The nearest major train station is in Lucerne. From Lucerne, take a train towards Engelberg, which takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Engelberg station, head to the Titlis cable car station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs from the train station to the Titlis cable car. Tickets for the train can be purchased at the station or online, and prices vary based on your departure location.
Cable Car
After reaching the Titlis cable car station, you will need to purchase a ticket for the cable car to Titlis. The cable car ride takes approximately 30 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Tickets can be bought at the station or online. Make sure to check the operating hours as the last cable car typically departs in the late afternoon. Once you reach the top, follow the signs to the Titlis Glacier Cave entrance.
Walking
