Alternatively, if you prefer a shorter route, you can take the cable car from Gornergrat to the adjacent area of Gornera. This will significantly reduce your walking distance. The cable car operates frequently; tickets can be purchased at the Gornergrat station. Once you arrive at Gornera, it is a short 10-minute walk to reach Gorner Gorge. Ensure you check the cable car schedule for operating times.
