Getting There

Train
To reach the Observatorium Gornergrat, start by taking the train to Zermatt. From Zermatt, you will need to catch the Gornergrat Railway (Gornergrat Bahn) at the Gornergrat Bahn station located near the center of Zermatt. The train ride offers stunning views of the mountains and will take you directly to the Gornergrat station. If you are driving, you can reach Zermatt by car, but note that Zermatt is a car-free village. You will need to park your car at one of the nearby parking facilities in Tasch (the last point you can drive to) and take a shuttle train from Tasch to Zermatt, which takes about 12 minutes.
