Car
From Chur, take the A13 motorway towards Thusis. Exit at 'Thusis' and follow the signs for Viamala. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Thusis, look for parking near the Viamala Gorge entrance. Parking may incur a fee, typically around CHF 5-10 for the day.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Chur to Thusis. The journey takes about 30 minutes with regular departures. Upon arrival at Thusis station, exit the station and walk towards the Viamala Gorge, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs to the gorge entrance. Note that there may be a small entrance fee to access certain areas of the gorge, usually around CHF 10.
Walking
If you are already in Thusis, simply walk to the Viamala Gorge. From the center of Thusis, head southwest towards the main road (A13) and follow the signs for Viamala. The walk should take about 20 minutes and offers beautiful views along the way.
