From the center of Grindelwald, head towards the train station located at Bahnhof Grindelwald. The station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the village center. Once you reach the station, take the train to Eigergletscher. The train ride offers stunning views of the Eiger mountain and takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Eigergletscher station, follow the signs for the hiking trail leading to Glecksteinhütte. The trail is well-marked and typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to hike, depending on your pace. Be sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike.

Cable Car and Hiking
From Grindelwald, walk to the cable car station at Firstbahn, which is about a 15-minute walk from the village center. Purchase a ticket for the First cable car, which will take you up to the First mountain station (approx. 25 minutes). Once you reach First, follow the trail towards Glecksteinhütte. This hike will take around 1 to 1.5 hours and provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps. Ensure you have a good map or GPS, as the trails can branch off in several directions.
