Train
If you're at Interlaken West station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Höheweg. Follow the signs for the bus station, which is located just outside the train station. From here, you can catch a bus to the Interlaken Altstadt. Take bus number 21 or 22 towards 'Interlaken, Altstadt' and get off at the 'Interlaken, Altstadt' stop. From there, it’s a short walk down Marktgasse to your destination at Marktgasse 1.
Bus
If you are near Interlaken Ost station, exit the station and locate the bus terminal adjacent to the train station. Take bus number 21 or 22 towards 'Interlaken, Altstadt'. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Interlaken, Altstadt' stop. Walk down Marktgasse for a few minutes, and you'll reach your destination at Marktgasse 1.
On Foot
If you are already in Interlaken town center, simply walk towards Höheweg. From there, head to the intersection with Marktgasse. Walk down Marktgasse, which is a pedestrian-friendly street, and you'll find Interlaken Altstadt at Marktgasse 1. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on your starting point.
Bicycle Rental
For a more scenic route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head towards Höheweg and follow the signs for the bike paths. Cycle along the Aare river towards Marktgasse, and then turn left to follow Marktgasse to reach Interlaken Altstadt. The ride should take about 10 minutes, and it’s a beautiful way to see the area.
