Getting there

Train

From Lausanne's main train station (Gare de Lausanne), take a train towards Vevey. The trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 'Cully' station. Once you exit the station, head towards the lake and follow the signs directing you to Bourg-en-Lavaux. It is about a 15-minute walk from the station along the scenic lakeside path.

Metro and Bus

Start your journey at the Lausanne Metro station. Take Line M2 (the blue line) in the direction of Ouchy. Get off at the 'Ouchy' station. From there, transfer to bus number 20 towards 'Lausanne, Gare'. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach 'Bourg-en-Lavaux'. Once you get off, follow the signs to the Bourg-en-Lavaux area which is well-marked and close by.

Walking

If you're already in Lausanne, you can take a leisurely walk to Bourg-en-Lavaux. Start from the city center and head towards the lake. Follow the lakeside promenade heading east towards Cully. The walk will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and you’ll be treated to beautiful views of the lake and vineyards along the way. Keep an eye on the signs directing you to Bourg-en-Lavaux.

Bike

For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental stations in Lausanne. Take the bike path along the lakeshore towards Vevey. It's a beautiful route that takes you through scenic vineyards and offers stunning views of Lake Geneva. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes to reach Bourg-en-Lavaux.
