Car
If you are driving to Mürrenbachfall, start from Lauterbrunnen. Drive on the main road (Route 11) towards Stechelberg. After approximately 6 kilometers, you will reach the parking area near the entrance to the Mürrenbachfall trail. The parking area is located just before the Stechelberg cable car station. Note that parking may incur a fee; expect to pay around CHF 5-10 for the day.
Public Transportation
From Lauterbrunnen, take the PostBus number 141 towards Stechelberg. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Disembark at the Stechelberg stop. From there, you can walk to the Mürrenbachfall trailhead. The trail is well marked, and it takes approximately 30 minutes to hike to the waterfall. Ensure you check the PostBus schedule for return trips, as services may vary.
Hiking
If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike from Lauterbrunnen to Mürrenbachfall. The hike is approximately 6 kilometers and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the signs towards Stechelberg and then connect to the trail leading to Mürrenbachfall. This route offers stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains, making it a rewarding journey.
