    Train

    From Locarno, head to the Locarno railway station (Stazione FFS). You can walk there from the city center, it is approximately a 10-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Stresa. The train will take you to Domodossola, where you will need to change trains. After changing, take the regional train towards Milano Centrale and get off at Stresa. The entire journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Stresa station, Isola Bella is easily accessible by taking a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the ferry terminal, where you can catch a ferry to the island.

    From Locarno, make your way to the main bus station in the city center. Look for the bus line that goes to Stresa. You may need to take a bus to a nearby town that connects to a bus heading towards Stresa. The journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on connections. Upon arrival in Stresa, walk to the ferry terminal (a 10-minute stroll) to take a ferry to Isola Bella.
