From Locarno, walk to the Locarno Bus Station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the city center. From the bus station, take the bus number 2 towards Lugano. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Lugano, Stazione' stop. Once you arrive at the train station in Lugano, follow the signs for the Funicolare (cable car) station to Monte Brè, which is located just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Locarno, walk to the Locarno train station, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the center. Take the train towards Lugano. The train ride takes about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Lugano train station, exit and walk to the Funicolare station, which is a 5-minute walk. Purchase a ticket for the Funicolare to Monte Brè and enjoy the scenic ride up to the peak.
