Bus
From Locarno, walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Locarno, Piazza Grande'. Take the bus number 2 towards 'Lugano, Stazione'. It takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the destination. Get off at 'Lugano, Stazione', then transfer to bus number 11 towards 'Brè - Funicolare'. After about 8 minutes, get off at 'Lugano, S. Grato'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Parco San Grato. Follow the signs to Via S. Grato, and you will arrive at the park.
Train and Bus
Start at Locarno train station and take a train heading to 'Lugano'. The journey takes around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Lugano', exit the train station and look for the bus terminal. Take bus number 11 towards 'Brè - Funicolare'. After about 8 minutes, get off at 'Lugano, S. Grato'. The park is just a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs that direct you to Via S. Grato.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore, you can walk from Locarno to Lugano along the lakeside promenade, which is scenic but takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you reach Lugano, navigate to the bus terminal and catch bus number 11 towards 'Brè - Funicolare'. Get off at 'Lugano, S. Grato', then walk 5 minutes to reach Parco San Grato.
