Bus
From Locarno, head to the Locarno Bus Station, which is located near the main train station (Stazione FFS). Look for the bus stop signs and take the PostBus line towards 'Verzascatal' or 'Lavertezzo'. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to get off at the stop named 'Verzasca', which is the main access point to the valley.
Walking
If you prefer walking, start from the center of Locarno. Walk towards the lakefront (Lungolago), and follow the promenade until you reach Piazza Grande. From there, head towards Via delle Scuole and continue straight until you reach the bus station. This walk takes about 20-30 minutes. Once at the bus station, take the PostBus as described above.
Bike Rental
Locarno has several bike rental shops. Rent a bike and head towards the main road leading out of Locarno towards Verzasca. Follow the signs that direct you to the Verzascatal. The bike ride offers beautiful views and takes about 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have a map or a navigation app to guide you along the route.
