From the Locarno train station, exit onto Via della Stazione. Turn left and walk along the road until you reach the main street, Via Nassa. Continue straight on Via Nassa until you reach the lakeside promenade. Enjoy the views and continue walking until you reach the ferry terminal. From there, take a ferry to Varenna. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Varenna, follow the signs from the ferry dock to Piazza Martiri, which is located a short walk away.

From Locarno, head to the train station and take a train to Varenna-Esino. Check the train schedules for direct services or any changes required. After arriving at the Varenna-Esino station, exit and follow the signs to the village. It’s about a 20-minute walk downhill to Piazza Martiri. Enjoy the scenic views as you walk, and once you reach the lakeside, you will find Piazza Martiri just ahead.
