Train and Funicular
From Lucerne's main train station (Bahnhof Luzern), take the train towards 'Stans' or 'Engelberg' and get off at the 'Stans' station (approximately 20 minutes). Once you arrive at Stans, follow the signs to the 'Stansstad' bus stop and take bus number 1 towards 'Bürgenstock'. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the ‘Bürgenstock’ stop. From there, you will find the funicular railway station. Board the funicular to ascend to the Bürgenstock resort area. The funicular ride will take around 10 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signs to the Bürgenstock Cliff Walk, which is a short walk away from the station.

Boat and Funicular
From Lucerne, walk to the pier at the lakefront and take a boat towards 'Bürgenstock'. The boat ride on Lake Lucerne offers stunning views and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Bürgenstock boat dock, follow the signs to the funicular railway station. Board the funicular to ascend to the Bürgenstock resort area. After disembarking from the funicular, follow the signage to the Bürgenstock Cliff Walk, which is a short stroll from the station.
