From Lucerne, head to the Lucerne train station (Bahnhof Luzern). Purchase a ticket to Grindelwald, which typically requires a transfer at Interlaken Ost. Board the train towards Interlaken and enjoy the scenic ride. Upon reaching Interlaken Ost, transfer to a train bound for Grindelwald. The total journey will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at Grindelwald station, exit the station and look for the signs directing you to the First cable car station.

If you prefer to take a bus, head to the bus terminal next to the Lucerne train station. Look for buses that go to Interlaken or Grindelwald. The bus journey is longer, taking approximately 3 to 4 hours, but it offers beautiful views along the way. Once you reach Grindelwald, disembark at the main bus station and follow the signs to the First cable car station.

Once you arrive at Grindelwald station (by train or bus), walk to the First cable car station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the train/bus station. Follow the main road towards the direction of the mountains; you will see signs pointing you to the cable car station. The cable car will take you up to First, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
