Train
If you are in Lucerne, start by heading to Lucerne train station (Bahnhof). From there, take a direct train to Zürich HB (Zürich Hauptbahnhof). This journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Zürich HB, follow the signs to the S-Bahn (suburban train) or tram station.

Tram
At Zürich HB, take tram line 6 in the direction of 'Zoo'. Ride the tram for 4 stops and get off at 'ETH/Universitätsspital'. From there, you can walk to the Swiss National Museum, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head northeast on Rämistrasse, then turn right onto Museumstrasse, and the museum will be on your left at Museumstrasse 2.

If you are already in the city center of Zürich, you can also walk to the Swiss National Museum. Start at Bahnhofstrasse, one of the main shopping streets. Walk towards the lake and turn left onto Sihlquai. Continue straight until you reach the museum, which will be located at Museumstrasse 2, just a few minutes away.
