From Lucerne, walk to Lucerne train station (Luzern Bahnhof) which is centrally located. Take a direct train to Zürich HB (Zürich Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Zürich HB, follow the signs to the S-Bahn (suburban train) section. Take the S-Bahn line S12 towards Zürich Flughafen. Get off at the stop 'Heueli' which is the closest station to Urania Sternwarte.

After arriving at Zürich HB, exit the station and look for tram stop 'HB'. Take tram number 4 towards 'Zürich, Bahnhofquai/HB'. Ride for 4 stops and get off at 'Helmhaus'. From there, walk towards Uraniastrasse. The Urania Sternwarte is located at Uraniastrasse 9, about a 5-minute walk from the tram stop.

From Lucerne, walk to the bus station at Lucerne train station. Take the bus number 1 towards Zürich. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the stop 'Zürich, Central'. From there, look for tram stop 'Central'. Take tram number 6 towards 'Zoo'. At the stop 'Helmhaus', get off and walk about 5 minutes to Uraniastrasse 9 to reach Urania Sternwarte.

Walk along the river and cross the bridge. Continue straight, passing through the old town, until you reach Uraniastrasse. This walk takes approximately 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of Zürich.
