Train
From Lucerne main train station (Bahnhof Luzern), take a direct train to Zug. Trains to Zug leave frequently, usually every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Zug station, follow the signs to the exit. After exiting the station, head towards the bus stop located right outside the station.
Bus
After exiting Zug train station, look for bus line 11 or 12 that goes to Zugerberg. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Zugerberg'. From there, follow the signs to Zugerberg, which will lead you to the hiking trails and viewpoints.
Walking
If you prefer walking, you can take a leisurely stroll from Zug train station to Zugerberg. Head east from the station along Zugerstrasse, then turn left onto Gärnistrasse which leads you up the hill. It's about a 1-hour walk, and you will enjoy beautiful views of Lake Zug along the way. Follow the signs for Zugerberg once you get closer to the hill.
