Getting There

  • Train

    From Lugano, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione FS). You can walk to the station from the city center by following Via Nassa towards the railway station. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Como. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey to Como takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Como station, exit the station and head towards the waterfront.

    After exiting Como train station, turn left onto Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi and walk straight until you reach the lakefront promenade. Continue walking along the promenade (Lungolago) towards Diga foranea Piero Caldirola. The sculpture 'Life Electric' will be visible along the waterfront, and it is about a 20-minute walk from the station.

    From the train station in Como, you can also take the bus. Look for the bus stop outside the station and take bus number 6 towards 'Diga foranea'. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Diga foranea'. From there, it's a short walk to the sculpture 'Life Electric'.
