    From Lugano train station, take a train towards Milano Centrale. Get off at Stresa station, which is approximately a 1.5-hour journey. Once you arrive at Stresa, exit the train station and head towards the lakefront. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. At the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Isola Bella. The ferry ride takes around 20 minutes and will take you directly to Isola Bella, where you can visit Palazzo Borromeo.

    From Lugano, take the bus number 10 towards Ponte Tresa. Get off at the final stop in Ponte Tresa. From there, switch to the train at the Ponte Tresa train station and take it to Stresa. After arriving at Stresa station, walk towards the lakefront, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal and purchase a ticket for the ferry to Isola Bella. The ferry ride lasts about 20 minutes, bringing you straight to the island.
