From Lugano city center, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione FFS). Once there, look for the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take bus number 31 towards 'Verzasca' or 'Sonogno'. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. Get off at the 'Verzasca' stop, which is the closest stop to the Verzaska Valley. From the bus stop, follow the signs that lead you towards the valley, which is about a 15-minute walk.

Start at the Lugano train station (Stazione FFS). Purchase a ticket to the nearest train station in Locarno. Board the train towards Locarno (trains are frequent, check the schedule for exact times). The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon reaching Locarno, exit the train and head to the bus terminal adjacent to the train station. Take bus number 31 towards 'Verzasca' or 'Sonogno'. The bus ride will take around 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Verzasca' stop and follow the signs to the valley, which is a short 15-minute walk.
