Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Mürren, head towards the Mürren Cable Car Station. Take the cable car down to the Lauterbrunnen valley. Once you arrive at the base station in Lauterbrunnen, exit the cable car and turn left. Follow the main road (Route 6) and look for signs directing you to the Eiger Glacier. The walk will take you approximately 1.5 hours.

    From the Mürren train station, take the funicular down to Lauterbrunnen. Once you reach Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the train at Lauterbrunnen station. Take the train towards Interlaken and get off at the station for Grindelwald. From there, you will need to take a local bus or another train towards the Eiger Glacier.
