Hiking
From the center of Mürren, head east towards the Mürren cable car station. Take the cable car down to the valley floor (Schilthorn station). Once at the Schilthorn station, follow the signposts to the trail heading towards Brienz. The hike to Giessbach Waterfalls will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The trail is well-marked, so keep an eye out for signs. Be prepared for a scenic walk with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. Once you reach Brienz, follow the signs toward Giessbach. The waterfalls are approximately a 20-minute walk from the town center.
Public Transport
Start at the Mürren train station and take the train towards Lauterbrunnen. Transfer at Lauterbrunnen to a train heading to Interlaken Ost. At Interlaken Ost, switch to a train going to Brienz. From Brienz station, it's about a 30-minute walk to Giessbach Waterfalls. Follow the signs towards the lake, and then head up the path leading to the waterfalls. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Brienz to the Giessbach area if available, which may offer a more direct route.
