Walking
To get to Gimmelwald from Murren, start at the Murren train station. Exit the station and follow the signs for Gimmelwald. Head down the main street (Schilthornbahn) towards the eastern edge of Murren. You will see a path leading downhill towards the valley. Follow this path, which will take you through beautiful alpine scenery. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the small village of Gimmelwald. The path is well-marked, and you will enjoy stunning views along the way.

From Murren, you can also take the cable car to Gimmelwald. Locate the Schilthorn cable car station at the center of Murren. Purchase a ticket for Gimmelwald, and board the cable car when it arrives. The ride will last about 5 minutes and provide breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Once you arrive at the Gimmelwald station, you will find yourself in the heart of the village, ready to explore.

Bus
While there is no direct bus service from Murren to Gimmelwald, you can take a bus to Lauterbrunnen first. From Murren, walk to the bus stop located at the entrance of the village. Catch the bus heading to Lauterbrunnen, which will take about 20 minutes. Once in Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the cable car that will take you directly to Gimmelwald. The cable car ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
