Exit the station and head towards the city center. Follow Avenue de la Gare until you reach the Place des Halles. Continue straight onto Rue de la Serre, and then turn left onto Rue du Château. The castle will be on your right at Rue du Château 1. The total walking distance is approximately 1 km and should take around 15 minutes.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a local bus from the city center. Head to the nearest bus stop at Place des Halles and catch bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Les Hauts de Neuchâtel'. Get off at the 'Château' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Neuchâtel Castle. Note that a single bus ticket costs around CHF 2.50, which can be purchased at ticket machines near the bus stop.
