From Thun, head to the Thun train station (Bahnhof Thun). You can walk to the station from the city center, which is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Kandersteg. Board the train heading towards Spiez and switch at Spiez for a train to Kandersteg. The total travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Kandersteg, exit the train station and follow the signs to the valley station of the cable car (Bergbahnen Kandersteg).

After reaching the Kandersteg train station, walk to the cable car station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Follow the signs for 'Bergbahnen Kandersteg'. Purchase your cable car ticket for the ride to the Blüemlisalphütte. The cable car ride will take you up the mountain, and you will have stunning views of the surrounding Alps. The cable car will drop you off at an area close to the Blüemlisalphütte.

Once you disembark from the cable car, follow the marked hiking trails towards Blüemlisalphütte. The hike is well-signposted and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
