    Getting There

    Train

    From Thun train station, board a train towards Interlaken Ost. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Interlaken Ost station, exit the train and head towards the main exit. Turn left and follow the signs for the Aare river. Continue walking down the street until you reach the junction with Schlossstrasse. Turn right onto Schlossstrasse and you will find the Japanischer Garten on your left.

    Bus

    From Thun, take bus number 21 from the Thun Bahnhof (train station) towards Interlaken. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Interlaken, Bahnhof' and walk straight towards the main road. Turn left onto Höheweg and continue for a few minutes until you reach the junction with Schlossstrasse. Turn right onto Schlossstrasse and the Japanischer Garten will be on your left.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Thun. Take the bike path along the Aare river towards Interlaken. The ride is scenic and takes about 1 hour. Once you reach Interlaken, follow the signs to Schlossstrasse. The Japanischer Garten is located at Schlossstrasse 1, which is just off the main path.

    Walking

    For a leisurely walk, you can traverse the scenic route from Thun to Interlaken. Begin at Thun's Old Town and follow the Aare river. This route takes approximately 2 hours to walk but offers beautiful views. Upon reaching Interlaken, head towards the main road, and then turn onto Schlossstrasse. The Japanischer Garten will be on your left.
