If you are starting from the Thun train station, exit the station and head east towards the main road (Aarestrasse). Turn right on Aarestrasse and walk along the river Aare. Enjoy the scenic views as you walk for about 10 minutes. You will reach the Thun old town area. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Rathausstrasse. Turn left onto Rathausstrasse. After a short walk, you will arrive at Rathausplatz, which is a charming square featuring the historic Town Hall.

From Thun train station, board bus number 21 towards 'Thun, Bälliz'. The bus ride will take approximately 5 minutes. Get off at the 'Thun, Rathaus' stop. If you have access to a bike, start from the Thun train station and head east towards Aarestrasse. Turn right and follow the Aare River cycle path. Continue along the river for about 10 minutes until you reach the area of the old town. Look for signs directing you to Rathausplatz. Park your bike at a designated bike stand, and you will be at Rathausplatz.
