    Getting There

    Train

    From Thun, head to the Thun railway station (Bahnhof Thun). You can walk to the station as it's centrally located. Once at the station, buy a ticket to Bern. Trains to Bern run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bern's main station (Bern Bahnhof), exit the platform and follow the signs to the city center.

    Bus

    You can also take a bus from Thun to Bern. Check the local bus schedule for the bus number that goes directly to Bern. The ride may take longer than the train, about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Bern, disembark at the main bus station, which is close to the city center.

    Walking

    If you are in Bern city center, walk to the Bundesplatz. From the Bern Hauptbahnhof (main train station), it's about a 15-minute walk. Head straight down Bahnhofplatz and continue onto Kramgasse. Follow the street as it curves and becomes Marktgasse, then turn left onto Bundesplatz. The Parliament Building is located at Bundesplatz 3, and you can't miss it.

    Tram

    From Bern's main train station, you can take tram line 9 towards 'Wabern, Gsteigstrasse'. Get off at the 'Bundesplatz' stop. The tram ride is about 5 minutes. After exiting the tram, walk towards the large building directly in front of you—this is the Parliament Building.
