Getting There

  • Train

    From Thun train station, take a train towards Interlaken. You can check the schedule at the station or on the SBB mobile app. Get off at Oberhofen Bahnhof, which is about a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at Oberhofen Bahnhof, exit the station and head south towards the main road (Aeschistrasse).

  • Walking

    After exiting Oberhofen Bahnhof, turn left onto Aeschistrasse and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Schlossstrasse. Turn right onto Schlossstrasse, and follow it for approximately 300 meters. You’ll see the entrance to Schloss Oberhofen on your left, located at Schloss 4, 3653 Oberhofen am Thunersee.

  • Bus

    Alternatively, from Thun train station, take bus number 21 towards Oberhofen. The bus departs from the bus terminal adjacent to the train station. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the ‘Schloss Oberhofen’ stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the castle entrance, just a few meters away.
