Getting there

Funicular

To reach Piazza Bonacossa in Brunate from Lugano, start by heading to the Funicolare station located in the nearby town of Como. You can take a train from Lugano to Como San Giovanni station, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Como San Giovanni, follow the signs to the Funicolare di Brunate, which is about a 15-minute walk. The funicular will take you directly up to Brunate. Upon reaching the top, you will find yourself in Brunate. From the funicular station, walk towards the center of Brunate, and you will arrive at Piazza Bonacossa in approximately 10 minutes.

Bus

From Lugano, take bus line 10 towards Como. This will take you to Como city center. Once in Como, get off at the stop named 'Como Funicolare.' From here, follow the signs to the Funicolare di Brunate. The funicular will take you up to Brunate. After disembarking, walk towards the center of the village, and you will reach Piazza Bonacossa in about 10 minutes.

Walking (Hiking)
