Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from your current location in Valais and head towards Interlaken. From Interlaken, follow the signs to Grindelwald (approximately 30 minutes drive). Once in Grindelwald, look for signs directing you to the Jungfraujoch. Park your car at the designated parking areas in Grindelwald. Note that you will need to take public transportation from Grindelwald to reach the Jungfraujoch Sphinx Observatory, as no cars are allowed on the mountain. The parking fee may vary, so check local rates.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the train from your location in Valais to Interlaken Ost station. Upon arrival at Interlaken Ost, transfer to the train heading to Grindelwald. The journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald takes about 30 minutes. Once in Grindelwald, follow the signs to the Jungfraujoch train station. You will need to purchase a ticket for the Jungfrau Railway, which is a scenic train ride that takes you from Grindelwald through Kleine Scheidegg and up to Jungfraujoch. The total cost for the round trip ticket from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch is approximately CHF 100-150, depending on the season and any applicable discounts.
Train
From Grindelwald, board the Jungfrau Railway towards Jungfraujoch. The train ride is breathtaking and takes about 35 minutes to reach the Jungfraujoch station. Be sure to check the train schedule ahead of time, as trains may not run frequently, especially during off-peak seasons. Once you arrive at Jungfraujoch, follow the signs to the Sphinx Observatory, which is a short walk from the station.
