Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting on the A1 motorway from your location in Vaud. Follow the signs towards Lausanne. Exit at 'Lausanne-Vennes' and merge onto Avenue de la Gare. Continue straight until you reach Av. Bergières. The Collection de l'Art Brut will be on your right at Av. Bergières 11, 1004 Lausanne. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for potential parking fees.
Train
For those using public transportation, take a train to Lausanne from your nearest station. Trains to Lausanne are frequent and run regularly. Once you arrive at Lausanne train station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located just outside. Take bus number 21 (direction 'Ouchy') or bus number 25 (direction 'Lausanne, Praz')) and get off at the stop 'Bergières'. From the bus stop, walk approximately 5 minutes to Av. Bergières 11, where the Collection de l'Art Brut is located. A single bus ticket costs around CHF 3.50.
Metro
If you prefer the metro, take the M2 line from any metro station in Lausanne and disembark at the 'Ouchy' station. From there, you can either walk 15 minutes along the lakeside or take bus number 21 or 25 from 'Ouchy' towards 'Bergières'. If you take the bus, it's just one stop and costs CHF 3.50 for a single ticket. Walk approximately 5 minutes from the bus stop to Av. Bergières 11.
Bike
For the more adventurous, renting a bike in Lausanne is a great option. You can find bike rental stations throughout the city. From the city center, head towards the lake and follow the bike paths to Av. Bergières. The journey is approximately 3 km and should take around 15-20 minutes. Be aware that bike rental may incur a fee depending on the duration of your rental.
